Located in beautiful Sacramento, California, the airport was first known as the Sacramento Metropolitan Airport when it opened its runways in the late 1960s. Since then the airport has undergone a name change and plenty of growth becoming a destination for international flights in 2002.

Although the Sacramento International Airport is located 12 miles northwest of downtown Sacramento, it is conveniently located near communities such as Roseville, Stockton, Napa, Fairfield, Lincoln, Yuba City, Marysville, and Woodland.
